Hailing from Afghanistan, an upcoming talent, Hamidullah Qadri, honed his skills with the second team of Derbyshire and was also a part of England's Under-19 squad for the 2018 edition of the tournament. Quadri though had hit the headlines earlier by making waves on his debut. At the age of 16, he made his first-class debut against Glamorgan, thereby becoming the first-ever player born after 2000 to feature for the county, also becoming the youngest Derbyshire player in the process. He celebrated the moment by claiming a five-wicket haul to help his side secure victory.
